Classification Public Sector Services > Public Sector Core Skills Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 This unit standard is intended for people who are employed in the public sector and evidence should come from within the candidate’s workplace. 2 Definition Public sector refers to the State sector (central Government), including the Public Service, crown entities, non-uniformed staffs of the services and forces, offices of Parliament; and all local authorities (local Government), including local authority trading enterprises (LATEs). 3 Performance of outcomes of this unit standard must comply with relevant current legislation: Public Records Act 2005; Evidence Act 2006; Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992; Human Rights Act 1993; Privacy Act 1993; Official Information Act 1982. 4 The standards and policies set by Archives New Zealand are relevant to this unit standard. These will be reflected in the organisational policies and procedures relevant to the public sector organisation in which the candidate is employed.
