Organisational policy refers to the statement of agreed intent that sets out an organisation’s views or principles with respect to a particular matter. Organisational procedure refers to the step-by-step instructions for implementing or carrying out an organisation’s policy or desired objective. Organisational requirements include any legal requirements, standards, codes of practice, organisational and/or site requirements, industry best practices, and manufacturers’ instructions. Evidence requirements 1.1 Policy intent is confirmed and existing procedures impacted by the policy are identified and reviewed for consistency with the policy. 1.2 Intended audience for policy guidelines, and the structure, language style, and format of the policy, are determined in accordance with organisational requirements. 1.3 Guidelines are developed in consultation with policy developers, end users, and organisation approval personnel. 1.4 Guidelines are structured to take account of occupational health and safety requirements, and workplace diversity, in accordance with organisational requirements. 1.5 Guidelines are submitted and approvals are obtained in accordance with organisational policy and procedures. Outcome 2 Interpret and advise on organisational policy in an aviation environment. Evidence requirements 2.1 Organisational policy is analysed, and their intent and implications are interpreted and confirmed, in accordance with organisational procedures and industry standards and texts. 2.2 Information and advice on acts, regulations, procedures, codes of practice, standards, and guidelines relevant to the organisational policy are provided in accordance with organisational procedures, and industry standards and texts. 2.3 Documentation is provided to support the information and advice given. 2.4 Consideration of intended use and consequences is evident in the information provided on organisational policy, and information is communicated in a manner that addresses the requirements of users. Evidence requirements 3.1 Policy feedback on implementation issues is gathered, analysed, and reported in accordance with organisational procedures. 3.2 Implementation of organisational policy is evaluated against initial criteria in the implementation plan and the outcomes are reported in accordance with organisational requirements. 3.3 Quality assurance mechanisms to gauge whether policy is being implemented as intended are identified and reported in accordance with organisational requirements. 3.4 Any potential issues in practices or consequences are identified and reported, and actions to mitigate them, in accordance with organisational requirements. 3.5 The aviation environment is monitored for policy implications, and potential or impending organisation policy changes are identified, in accordance with organisational requirements. Outcome 4 Advise on policy implementation in an aviation environment. Evidence requirements 4.1 Information relating to the intended and actual outcomes of organisational policy is gathered during and following policy implementation, and analysed and reported in accordance with organisational procedures. 4.2 Suggestions for potential improvement, discontinuance, or replacement of organisational policy are prepared in accordance with organisational requirements and industry standards and texts.
