Classification Aviation > Airport Operations Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 Definitions Unprepared aircraft operating area refers to a location lacking designated airport facilities, for example buildings, perimeter fences, electricity. IED refers to improvised explosive device. CBRN refers to chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear. 2 Reference to enterprise procedures means that all activities must comply with the requirements contained in the current relevant legislative and/or regulatory requirements, which includes but is not limited to: New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Policy. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Implement and maintain security at an unprepared aircraft operating area. Evidence requirements 1.1 Aviation assets and personnel are guarded in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.2 Static defences are constructed in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.3 Camouflage and concealment techniques are employed in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.4 Base security duties are performed in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.5 IED procedures are applied in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.6 Personnel and assets are protected against CBRN threats in accordance with ServiceIQ SSB Code 9068 New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2016 NZQA registered unit standard 29008 version 1 Page 2 of 2 enterprise procedures. 1.7 Weapons are used in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.8 Pyrotechnics are used in accordance with enterprise procedures.
