Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Set up, check, and operate explosive trace detection (ETD) equipment in an aviation workplace. Evidence requirements 1.1 Procedures for setting up ETD equipment in an aviation workplace are followed in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.2 ETD equipment calibration is performed at set up and during operations in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.3 ETD equipment is operated in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.4 Occupational health and safety procedures are followed when setting up and operating the ETD equipment in accordance with enterprise procedures. Outcome 2 Conduct ETD sampling process in an aviation workplace. ServiceIQ SSB Code 9068 New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2016 NZQA registered unit standard 29000 version 1 Page 2 of 3 Evidence requirements 2.1 Selected persons or articles are screened using approved ETD equipment, in accordance with legislative requirements and enterprise procedures. articles may include but are not limited to – bags, cabin baggage, checked baggage, goods, hold baggage, packages, personal effects, work equipment, tools of trade, display/promotional items, vehicles/machinery. Range 2.2 The sample is tested using ETD equipment in accordance with legislative requirements and enterprise procedures. 2.3 Positive and negative results are recognised in accordance with enterprise procedures. 2.4 Action is taken in response to a positive result in accordance with legislative requirements and enterprise procedures. Outcome 3 Record ETD analysis information for evidential purposes in an aviation workplace. Evidence requirements 3.1 Equipment checks and calibration results are recorded and reported in accordance with enterprise procedures. 3.2 Calibrations and alarms are saved in accordance with enterprise procedures. 3.3 Records of sampling processes, positive and negative results and consequent actions are completed and reported in accordance with enterprise procedures.
