Classification Plastics Processing Technology > Plastics Materials Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 All work practices must meet enterprise health and safety requirements. 2 Definitions Enterprise means an organisation where training and/or assessment is taking place, and/or where the trainee is employed. Enterprise procedure is defined as actions which comply with the policies, systems, and directives in a particular enterprise. Enterprise procedure must comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, and subsequent amendments. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Demonstrate knowledge of enterprise products. Evidence requirements 1.1 Expanded polystyrene pre-moulding, moulding, and post-moulding methods are named, and those used in the enterprise are identified. Range 1.2 pre-moulding – pre-expansion, storage; moulding – block, shape; post-moulding – kiln drying, cutting, recycling. Moulded product density characteristics are named, and products of different densities are identified. Range Competenz SSB Code 101571 density characteristics may include – hardness, weight, breaking strength; products – evidence is required for three products.
