Review and approve the agenda.
2.
Review and approve the minutes of the meeting of 26 July 2007.
3.
Discuss issues related to the high cost of text books, including the status of the
OER Consortium.
4.
Review status of self assessment and other accreditation issues, including the
use of PMI’s.
5.
Review the status of the Basic Skills Initiative within The Peralta Colleges.
6.
Review the status of the updating of the Educational Plans for each of the
colleges and the development of the Master Educational Plan for The Peralta
Colleges to include goals, PMIs, strategies and timelines.
7.
Review status of the implementation of the Campus-wide Strategic Planning
Process, including the concept and methodology for implementing Program
Based Budgeting.
8.
Discuss the concept of a Pilot Program for each college for a new, internet
based Course Management software (Epsilen) that is integrated with the New
York Times, a major owner in the corporation. The capability appears to be
tremendous, including access to every New York Times issue going back to
1851. The Peralta Colleges could be the very first in the State of California
and The New Times has stated that that could be used for marketing purposes.

Discuss issues related to Mental Health and Threat Analysis within our
student body and staff.
