People credited with this unit standard are able to apply avionic trade practices. Enterprise procedures referred to in this unit standard are the applicable procedures found in the following: enterprise exposition; manufacturer publications; Government and local body legislation; airworthiness authority requirements. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Apply avionic trade practices. Evidence requirements 1.1 Communication is carried out using avionic related terminology in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.2 Wiring and connectors are joined and/or terminated in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range solder, crimp. 1.3 Electromagnetic interference is prevented and/or controlled in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.4 Electrostatic damage is avoided in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.5 Avionic components and parts are fitted and removed in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 1.6 Operation of replacement components and parts is tested in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.7 Resistance, voltage, current, and insulation resistance are measured in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.8 Electrical circuit diagrams are interpreted in accordance with enterprise procedures.
