Explanatory notes

1 All tasks are to be carried out in accordance with enterprise procedures, the enterprise being the organisation carrying out the work. Enterprise procedures referred to in this unit standard are the applicable procedures found in the following: enterprise exposition; manufacturer publications; Government and local body legislation; airworthiness authority requirements.

2 Range may include but is not limited to – charts, posters, cards, certificates, maps, graphs and forms using manual, electronic and micrographic means.

Evidence requirements

Job is accepted and documented in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.1

1.2 Job specification and production methods are established and documented in accordance with enterprise procedures.

1.3 Industry specifications are researched and applied to meet job specifications in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Materials and equipment are assembled, positioned and prepared ready for graphic artwork production.

Outcome 2

Produce draft aeronautical graphic artwork and confirm with customer.

Evidence requirements

Sketches are produced in accordance with enterprise procedures. 2.1

2.2 Draft graphic artwork is produced in accordance with enterprise standards and job specifications.

2.3 Customer approval of draft is obtained prior to producing final graphic artwork.

Outcome 3

Produce final aeronautical graphic artwork.

Evidence requirements

3.1 Final artwork is produced in accordance with enterprise standards and job specifications.

3.2 Requested number of copies are produced in accordance with job specifications.

Range manual, electronic, micrographic.

3.3 Copies are despatched in accordance with job specifications and enterprise procedures.

Range packed, despatched.

3.4 Documentation is completed and archived in accordance with enterprise procedures.

3.5 Certification for completed task is obtained in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Outcome 4

Prepare equipment and work area for future use.

Evidence requirements

4.1 Equipment is cleaned, prepared and stored for future use in accordance with enterprise procedures.

4.2 Hazardous waste materials are disposed of in accordance with enterprise procedures.
