PeopleSoft Security Administrator - HCM/FSCM/Campus Solutions
This position has the opportunity to design and manage user access control privileges associated with PeopleSoft
applications in order to assure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of those systems in a campus
environment. This security lead is expected to be a visible internal spokesperson for application security and
controls, charged with gaining widespread support of and compliance with application security requirements.
Specific job duties include:
•
Experience with designing, configuring, implementing, documenting, and maintaining PeopleSoft Security.
•
Responsibility to understand and apply technology tools, systems, policies and processes that are
required to ensure the protection of data assets, information, and all forms of personal identity
information.
•
Applies standard procedures to ensure that all system users are properly identified and
information/application access is designed on the respective user’s job role.
•
The ability to protect these assets will require expertise in IT Security concepts and procedures; business
analysis; testing and validation procedures; information systems auditing and reporting; project
management and quality assurance processes.
•
This position will work directly with the user community and IT staff to develop guidelines, processes,
access provisioning, and infrastructure to accommodate user security and access needs.
•
The analyst will assist in the evaluation of new and existing information systems applications to ensure
that appropriate controls exist, that processing is efficient and accurate, and that systems and procedures
are in compliance with corporate and industry recognized standards.
•
The Analyst should actively seek to maintain industry recognized security concepts, guidelines, and
regulatory requirements and where these should be applied within the organization.
Experience Requirements:
•
3-5 years of experience in PeopleSoft application security is required.
•
Ability to create and utilize reporting tools and methods to support requirements for auditing, analysis,
data reporting, etc. is required.
•
Ability to support multiple security platforms is required.
•
Experience working in a higher education campus environment preferred.
•
Expertise in mapping job role and scope of practice to access control design and development preferred.
•
Expertise in application risk assessment and reporting of application design limitations and/or
vulnerabilities preferred.
•
Knowledge of industry recognized security concepts, regulatory agencies, and security best practice is
preferred.
•
Experience with Campus Solutions, FSCM, and HCM applications is preferred.
Education Requirements:
•
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Attributes/Software:
•
Experience with PeopleTools and Microsoft SQL Server is required.
•
Experience or certification in Microsoft operating systems and Office suite is required.
•
Excellent project management, change management, process management, time management and
organizational skills. Ability to lead and implement projects within approved timelines. This will include
all aspects such as facilitation of user meetings, business analysis, project planning, training, and
implementation. Must have proven ability to estimate level of effort, duration, and anticipate and
communicate multiple priorities.
