Draft Equal Employment Opportunity Plan
At the May 10, 2013 PBC meeting, the Office of Human Resources and Employee Relations
presented the draft of the 2013 Equal Employment Opportunity Plan.
The Planning and Budgeting Council endorsed the EEO plan with one recommended change.
The PBC requested that four additional members be included on the Advisory Committee (Plan
Component 5). Those four additional members would include one appointment from each of the
following groups -- the Peralta Association of African American Affairs, the Peralta Asian Pacific
American Association, and the Peralta Association of Chicanos and Latinos de Aztlan; and a
Chancellor appointed public member. The PBC also requests that if any additional Peralta groups
are formed which focus on diversity then a member from such groups should also be included on
the EEO Advisory Committee.
