Memo To: Ron Little, Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration Dr. Sadiq Ikkaro, Vice Chancellor of General Services Cc: Dr. Jowell Laguerre, Chancellor From: Planning and Budgeting Council (PBC) Date: October 30, 2015 Re: Funding for Emergency and Scheduled Maintenance At the October 23, 2015 Planning and Budgeting Council meeting the PBC approved the following motion: The PBC requests that the VC of Finance and the VC of General Services assess the availability of funding in order to address emergency and scheduled maintenance needs at the colleges. Further the PBC requests that Measure A funds and the feasibility of using some of the district’s 11% reserve funds be explored. Additionally, the PBC requests that information regarding the use of the $1.9 million that was designated for emergency and scheduled maintenance last year be detailed in a report that shows how the money was expended. The PBC requests that this information be presented at the November 20th PBC meeting The PBC looks forward to your response.
