Definition
Organisational procedures – instructions to staff, and procedures which are
documented in memo or manual format and are available in the workplace. These
requirements include but are not limited to – site specific requirements,
manufacturers’ specifications, product quality specifications, and legislative or
regulatory requirements.

Elements and performance criteria
Element 1
Develop an action plan for shut-down and re-commissioning, and shut down, drinkingwater supply mains in accordance with organisational procedures.
Performance criteria
1.1
Action plan for shut-down and re-commissioning is developed.
Range
1.2
includes but is not limited to – time, contingencies, trial shut-down.
Notification procedures are implemented.
Range
service providers include but are not limited to – fire service;
key clients include but are not limited to – businesses, schools,
hospitals;
private clients include but are not limited to – people on dialysis;
client call centre.
1.3
Arrangements are made for provision of temporary water supply.
1.4
The shut-down procedure is carried out.

Re-commission drinking-water supply mains.
Performance criteria
2.1
Re-commissioning is carried out in accordance with organisational procedures.
2.2
Client call centre is notified in accordance with organisational procedures.
Please note
Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated
authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against
unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register
credits from assessment against unit standards.
Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards
must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
