building sites, roading, bunkers, water reticulation, drainage, and irrigation.

Other results, for the purposes of this unit standard, refers to stakeless cut to grade,
fill, or waste.
Elements and performance criteria
Element 1
Prepare the survey equipment for use.
Performance criteria
1.1
Equipment is calibrated, or checked for calibration, to match the requirements of
the work to be carried out and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
1.2
The equipment is set-up ready for use in accordance with job requirements and
manufacturer’s instructions.
Element 2
Demonstrate use of the survey equipment for agricultural contracting land development.
Performance criteria
2.1
Information from plans, drawings, and/or other instructions is translated, using
the survey equipment, to establish on-site marks or other results to meet the
requirements of the job.
2.2
Accuracy of the equipment is monitored, and the equipment is recalibrated as
necessary in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Please note
Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated
authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against
unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register
credits from assessment against unit standards.
Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards
must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.

Accreditation requirements and an outline of the moderation system that applies to this
