Site safety plan refers to the documented safety plan required by law to ensure the site complies with the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and its subsequent amendments. NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation (Incorporated) (MITO) SSB Code 101542 New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2016 NZQA registered unit standard 27776 version 2 Page 2 of 3 Evidence requirements 1.1 Location, substrate, materials, and equipment for job are confirmed in accordance with company procedures. 1.2 Respiratory protection required for job is confirmed from Safety Data Sheets. 1.3 Notification and permit to work requirements are confirmed in accordance with company procedures. 1.4 Communication with site personnel processes, and induction requirements, are confirmed with person in control of workplace in accordance with company procedures. 1.5 Workplace access, egress, and escape routes are confirmed in accordance with the site safety plan. 1.6 Site specific hazards and their controls are confirmed in accordance with the site safety plan. 1.7 Locations of hazardous substances storage area and eye care station are confirmed in accordance with the site safety plan. 1.8 Provisions for the storage of materials and equipment are confirmed in accordance with the site safety plan. Range 1.9 personal protective equipment, job materials, job equipment. Emergency procedures are confirmed in accordance with the site safety plan. Outcome 2 Prepare for blaster coating operations at an exterior site. Evidence requirements 2.1 Containment system is set up in accordance with the site safety plan, permit requirements, and company procedures. 2.2 Blaster coating area is secured against unauthorised entry during operations in accordance with company procedures and the site safety plan. 2.3 Personal protective equipment required for the job is fitted and worn in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and company procedures. Range 2.4 includes but is not limited to – overalls, eye protection, footwear, respiratory protection, gloves. Equipment is checked for safe operation before use in accordance with company procedures.
