Written Report: Advices
• Follow the premise of the case
– Don’t answer questions in order
– Think about what’s important to the client
– In essay format with sections for related
issues (accounting, finance, legal, stats…)

Written Report: Format
• Transmittal Memo
– May be single spaced, line between
paragraphs
– Include the group number, member names,
date/time of class meeting
• Executive Summary
– Double spaced, one page in length
• Body
– About 10 pages, not counting appendices
– Double spaced / Indent paragraphs

Written Report: Format …
• References
– Follow a standard format, be consistent
• Appendices
– Label clearly for easy reference in the text
– May be single spaced

• No report covers needed, just a staple.
• Label all figures and tables
• Technical material (details of calculations) in the
appendix

Q&A
• For each case, a non-presenting team
(challenge team) ask each presenter
questions first (10 minutes)
