Create Your Own State Law
We have been learning about Federalism, how powers are shared between the Federal
Government and State and Local Governments. It is your job to propose a new State or Local
law that will help improve the state somehow. The criteria for the new law are that it must either
be a new law or an improvement of an already existing law. It may not go against any of the
laws identified in the Constitution. You must submit one page double spaced document
explaining your new law. In the one page you will explain what your law is, where it will take
effect, (town, county, state) why you think it is important to pass and why it doesn’t violate any
of the laws in the Federal Government.
