Chemistry program – Modifications based on last two Curriculum Committee discussions. 3. Informational: The General Education Committee has recommended the removal of General Chemistry II and its lab (CHEM 1474 and CHEM 1471) from the general education list. Summary of Feedback on Chemistry Degree Modification Our initial concerns included: courses listed under the Health Profession option that are no longer offered the requirement for a minor was not clear for the Chemistry Degree Option some of the electives under the Health Option were not upper division but a statement was made that one must select thirteen or more hours to achieve 40 hours of upper division e-mail feedback from Curriculum Committee members over the last week regarding proposed modifications: Remove the course names from the General Education side of the sheet or have the course names match up with the official course name Why is FNAR 1013 listed specifically, especially with the “or” statement? Remove references to forty upper division hours – that is already on the check sheet on the front side Wording, particularly around the electives, should be clearer.
