Date new versions published 18 June 2015 Planned review date 31 December 2019 Summary The review of these unit standards was initiated through their scheduled review and the Targeted Review of Qualifications (TRoQ) for Environment Māori qualifications. The unit standards were reviewed to ensure that they are fit for purpose, relevant, and align to graduate profile outcomes of the new Wāhi Tapu qualification – Te Mana Kaitiaki o Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho (Kaupae 4)[Ref: 2345]. The standards were reviewed by Whakaruruhau over three hui held in 2014. All amendments to the standards were endorsed by stakeholders and the Environment Māori and Wāhi Tapu Whakaruruhau. The last date for assessment of superseded versions of the reviewed standards is 31 December 2016. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of superseded versions of the unit standards. Main changes The titles of unit standards 21849, 21852, and 27484 have been changed to better reflect the unit standard outcomes. Changes to purpose statements, explanatory notes, outcomes, evidence requirements, and range statements were made to ensure clarity for users. Changes in levels and/or credit values were made to unit standards 6144, 21847, 21850, and 27484. Four new unit standards were developed to align with outcomes of the new Wāhi Tapu qualification – Te Mana Kaitiaki o Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho (Kaupae 4)[Ref: 2345].
