Summary
Following the recent review of the majority of the Fibreboard Packaging unit standards and
qualifications and the redevelopment of new qualifications for the packaging sector
Competenz advises that the above remaining unit standards have been reviewed and/or
revised and the following decisions made.
Main changes


Paper Bag and Sack Converting unit standards - these unit standards have been
reclassified under the domain Fibreboard Packaging Production to bring them into line
with recently reviewed unit standards and to meet requirements of newly developed
qualifications. To date there has been no usage for these standards; however a review
is planned for late 2014.
Carton Converting unit standards - Unit standards 3679, 3680, 18244 will expire as
they are no longer required by industry due to changes in technology. The last date for
assessment will be 31 December 2014.
Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2014
