Summary
This qualification was reviewed and designated expiring in March 2010 with an
expiry date of 31 December 2012. The introduction of the Targeted Review of
Qualifications meant that intentions to develop a new Sports Administrator
qualification may be delayed and the learners may potentially be disadvantaged.

Skills Active Aotearoa has responded to a training provider who sought a change to
the expiry date to ensure candidates can complete the qualification. The
qualification is currently delivered to trainees in a programme that has been
developed to suit their seasonal coaching requirements. It was therefore necessary
to extend the expiry date until a new qualification is developed.
Main changes
The expiry date of this qualification has been extended to 31 December 2014.
Transition
Version 6 was issued to indicate that this qualification has a new expiry date of
December 2014.
This qualification contains standards that have been replaced. For the purposes of
this qualification, people who have gained credit for the replacement standards are
exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the expiring standards – see table
below.
