The College of Business Administration is looking for energetic, dedicated Business Student Ambassadors The Business Student Ambassador plays a very important role in the College of Business Administration. The goal of the Business Ambassador program is to establish contact with new business students throughout their first semester by phone, email and WebCt. Ambassadors help new business students become successful by providing valuable information about important resources and being a primary point of contact for new students. Students selected to be a Business Student Ambassador will enjoy opportunities to enhance their leadership, interpersonal, and public speaking skills while gaining valuable knowledge about the CBA, Sac State and will enjoy working with CBA students, staff, faculty and campus administrators. Ambassadors must have the desire to interact positively with other students, have exceptional telephone skills, the ability to work a minimum of two nights per week between the hours of 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and assist with CBA special events. Must be a declared business major with at least a 2.75 GPA, and have a great attitude about Sac State and the College of Business Administration. Student Ambassadors will be assigned a specific group of students to call. Log each call utilizing computer software to accurately record and track contacts. Maintain an adequate working knowledge of basic information about the College of Business Administration and Sac State. Assist in the implementation of on- and off-campus events. Assist in the preparation, tallying, and analysis of data generated from telephone calls. Contact various campus sources for additional information to be sent to students as a follow-up to phone calls. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Hours/Schedule: Generally speaking, a Business Student Ambassador will be expected to work a minimum of 6-10 hours per week. These hours are typically 2-3 hour shifts. Work hours are Monday through Friday, anywhere between 4:00pm to 9:00pm, with occasional hours during the week for email and WebCt. Additional hours will be available during special events and at on- or off-campus new student orientations. We will be looking for 2 - 3 students for this program for the Fall 2014 semester.
