If you have previously received a research grant from the History /Department, please give details about what you have accomplished with regard to your dissertation topic as a result of that grant money. List any applications you have submitted or plan to submit for outside funding in support of your project. You are asked to keep the History Graduate Office informed if you receive money from an outside source. Such funding will not reduce your award from the department, as long as the requests are for different aspects of the larger research project. LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION: Please ask your major adviser to submit a letter of recommendation in support of your grant application. That letter should speak to the progress that you have made in your program and your dissertation research. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Please attach to this cover sheet a narrative (of no more than 1,000 words), plus an itemized budget that details rates, number of days, quantities etc.
