Additionally, student handbooks and codes of conduct do not reference M.G.L. c. 76, s. 5. Student handbooks do not contain the school’s procedure for accepting, investigating, and resolving complaints alleging discrimination or harassment and do not contain the disciplinary measures that the school may impose if it determines discrimination or harassment has occurred. Narrative Description of Corrective Action: Student handbooks at both the elementary school and the high school have now include appropriate procedures for the discipline of students with special needs and Section 504 Accommodation Plans.
