A major goal is to build bridges across diverse research communities in order to foster dialogue and synergies, making particular efforts to bridge those historically focused on specific aspects of STEM learning during early childhood, K-12, higher education and in and from informal environments. We also will discuss strategies for breaking down silos between STEM content professionals, and building meaningful connections between research and practice within and across these diverse learning communities. To achieve this goal, participants will be selected who broadly represent this diverse community of researchers. We envision including a mix of both senior investigators and leaders in the field, as well as emerging researchers. There will be no papers or formal presentations. PLEASE ATTACH A SHORT CV OR BIOGRAPHY TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR STEM LEARNING RESEARCH AND YOUR CURRENT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES. OF GREATEST IMPORTANCE, INCLUDE A BRIEF STATEMENT ABOUT HOW YOUR PERSPECTIVES ON RESEARCH WILL CONTRIBUTE TO A BROADER DISCUSSION OF NEW PARADIGMS AND APPROACHES TO INVESTIGATING 21 ST CENTURY STEM LEARNING. How did you hear about the conference? ______________________________________________________________________ Can you recommend anyone else whose participation would enhance the conference?
