Introduction
The Lessons Learned document is intended as a place to record significant items that have been identified
during the course of each project phase that could have an impact (positive or negative) in subsequent
project phases or other projects. A description of each lesson should be documented along with any
remedial action that may be needed to correct or prevent occurrence in later phases of this project. Note that
not only negative items need be recorded. If the project team feels that there are positive lessons have been
learned, they should be documented and shared with all team members as well as with future projects. If
the team identifies any recommended solutions to Lessons Learned, they should be recorded here. Note that
there may be Lessons Learned that are also appropriate for entry in the Project Issues Log along with
assignment(s) for corrective action.
