Working, coordinating, meeting and facilitating treatment to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Program. Therapeutic intervention includes: American Sign Language, CASE, oral
communication, speech reading and language skills.
 Inclusion coordinator working with teachers, parents, administrators on modifications
and accommodations for one particular student’s special education program.
 Tutor of English, Algebra, Science, Social Studies and other subjects to students with
learning and other disabilities and utilization of augmentative and alternative
communication.
North Mississippi Regional Center

 Assessment and treatment of adults and children in a residential facility for people with
mental retardation and other related disabilities. Experience included: speech and
language impairments secondary to severe disabilities, including autism, cerebral
palsy, mental retardation, various syndromes and physical handicaps. Therapeutic
intervention included: implementation of low technological communication systems
(Big Mac switch, One-Step switch, communication boards, Go-Talk etc.), high
technological communication systems (Alpha-Talker, Liberator, Pathfinder etc.),
Signing Exact English, and oral-motor/feeding therapy for clients with dysphagia
and decreased oral-motor skills. Also involved with therapeutic horseback riding and
hippotherapy programs.

Assessment and treatment of children (0-3) in center-based and home-based settings.
Experience included: speech and language impairments secondary to moderate-severe
disabilities, including cerebral palsy, developmental delay and physical handicaps.
Therapeutic intervention included: implementation of Signing Exact English, playbased language therapy, sensory integration and oral-motor/feeding therapy.


identification and treatment of pediatric dysphagia, sensory integration strategies
and play-based speech/language therapy.
 Assessment and treatment of adults in an acute setting on an on-call basis. Dysphagia
experience included pharyngeal motility studies and bedside swallow evaluations.
