- Near the center of the southern section of the mound
- Burial was excavated by a non-professional and not carefully recorded
Contents:
1. Human skeletal remains (1)
- uncremated
2. Breastplate (1)
- copper
- 7 ¼ inches long by 4 ¼ inches wide, 1/8 inch thick
- perforated with two 1/8 inch holes for suspension
3. Axes and Adzes of copper (several)
- one large axe, 11 ¼ inches long, weighing 5 pounds, 9 ounces
- fur imprint on one side where it apparently contacted a fur burial robe
- largest adze is spatulate-shaped, 5 ¼ inches long and weighs 15 ounces
- woven fabric design is visible on one face
- smallest adze is 3 ¼ inches long and weighs 5 ¼ ounces
4. Shell beads (considerable deposit of)
- both local unio shells and marine shells from the Gulf region
5. Animal teeth
- perforated raccoon teeth
- elk teeth
- grizzly canines
- imitation grizzly canines of bone (split)
