Spring Blast i. Currently there is no spring blast nominees. No application sent in ii. Hoover and Oakes to chair Spring Blast. iii. No royalty ever again for Spring Blast or homemade swimsuit contest iv. Stick to same format as last year’s b. Viking Spirit i. Do this again this semester? ii. Hoover moves to keep Viking spirit the way it is, but move the amount to $10. Faure seconds. 1. $130 allocation for the next thirteen weeks 2. Motion passes c. Judicial Council i. Need someone to serve ii. Deals with the student code of conduct or other violations of student policies iii. Edinger volunteers, if possible d. Elections i. Must complete one each semester iii. Approached by chamber of commerce for senate to assist with carnival 1. Volunteer as a whole senate 2. Shift from 12:30 to 2:30 or 2:30 to 4:30 3. Games need two people f. Robert’s Rules i. Walsh wants to do either one hour and a half session or two fifty minute sessions ii. The Viking Women opened the DAC tournament with a victory over Mayville State 55-45. 2. On Sunday, the Vikings lost a heartbreaker in OT to the #13 Jamestown Jimmies by a score of 60-61. 3. Katelyn Ralston and Brittany Lehner received the honor of being named to the All-Tournament team. a. The Vikings currently stand at 14-9 on the year. ii. Men’s Basketball 1. Won the Wesmen Classic in Winnipeg, MB over break, were the first US team to win since 1968 a. Aaron Duske was named tournament all-star and Sekani Milligen was named tournament MVP 2. The #20 Viking Men lost in the opening round of the DAC tournament to Mayville State by a score of 59-67. 3. The Vikings rebounded with a nice win on Saturday as they defeated Dickinson State 71-67.
