• Update from the last month:
– There have been meetings with the General Contractor to discuss
change orders, budget, and timeline. The budget is now
straightened out and we will have a better timeline at the end of this
month.
– The contractor has started work on the front entry (remove block
and brick) and are working to pour the landings.
– Ron is working to figure out a different fire suppression system
since we can’t run water into the IT room.
– Window replacement is going well- we were able to save some of
the odd size windows to use in McFarland as needed.
– The chiller was delivered last week.
– They are still working to finish up the storm sewer in the basement.
– Ron is still working to get the downspout repaired so we stop getting
water in the basement when it rains.
City Flood Protection Project
– Last week the storm sewer pipe was installed
going east of the pump station. Strata started
digging the storm sewer going west.
•The footings for the walls will be poured going to the
east and then to the west.
– The manhole has been set for the storm sewer.
– The dedication tree has been moved to the
Library Mall.
Heat Plant Replacement
– Construction Management qualifications were
received yesterday and the committee is
currently in the review process and have
scheduled interviews to take place on July 14th
at 2:00pm.
Wellness Center
– All black dirt has been stripped off and they
have begun to dig the foundation.
– No other concerns at this time.
Other Projects
• President’s House Retaining Wall & McFarland 1st Floor Stabilization
– President’s House wall is underway. The McFarland project has been awarded
this week to Wick Construction- we will start this project as soon as possible.
• Field House Addition
– Construction plans have been reviewed and approved and sent out to bid. They
will need to be advertised for 21 days.
• SEGS Office Remodel
– Project is underway and making good progress.
• Student Center Upper Lounge
– The project is currently out for bid. Will be having an informal bid opening this
week.
• Snoey/McCoy Basketball Court
– Working on bids from other contractors.
• Circle Hall Awning
– To be completed mid-July.
• Housing
– Mythaler & President’s House Sewer Line
– McCoy & Robertson Guest Suites
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Thank you to everyone who assisted with cleaning
out McFarland 411 (Theatre). It was a lot of work
and we wouldn’t have been able to get it done
without your help!
Thank you!

FS ANCHOR AWARD
PRESENTATION:
DREW STORBECK
Presented by:
Selection Committee
“Drew does a good job with
staying involved in the different
projects going on around
campus and always checks in
to see if there is something he
can help with. I have noticed
that he helps his co-workers in
many different ways,
accomplishing tasks that aren't
part of his job
responsibilities. He has worked
for the department for many
years making his opinion
valued and respected when it
comes to working through an
issue.”
