Subject Objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to
1. acquire a basic knowledge about the economic structure of Hong Kong
2. identify Hong Kong as an industrial, trade and financial centre; and to describe the problems faced by HK industries and suggest possible means to tackle them.
3. understand the importance of international trade and hence Hong Kong’s external economic relations.
4. identify the causes and effects of major social issues such as mass media and consumer education and suggest ways to tackle them.
5. acquire an interest in current affairs and be willing to participate in activities for improving community life.
