Part 2: OBSERVATION DURING THE TRIP
Case 1
Venue: Lung Chang Toy Factory
The factory workers practice specialization which means a worker concentrates on producing a good or a part of toys. They work in one particular stage and are responsible for a particular processof producing toys. This is complex specialization that a worker specializes in a particular sub process or production stage of toys. In producing toys, some workers are responsible for design, some for assemblage and
fabrication, some for quality control, and some for packaging. Practicing specialization can increase productivity and make full use of producer and capital goods.

Case 2
Venue: Lung Chang Toy Factory
The factory educates the public, especially teenagers, about robotics by organizing
workshops and domestic and international competitions such as the VES Robotics
Competition. The company aims to strengthen teenagers’ creativity and inspire
their thinking. The company fulfills corporate social responsibility in which firms have to meet the desires and ethical standards of their stakeholders (shareholders, customers and employees) such as educating the youth. The company cultivates the youths to help increase human resources. China’s long run aggregate supply (LRAS) can be raised and thus potential GDP can be further increased.

Part 3: REFLECRTION
Throughout this Dongguan trip in Mainland China, we have earned more knowledge
about the history and development of this coastal city. During the visit to Humen
Museum of the Opium War and Fort Weiyuan, we knew more deeply about how the
Chinese government fought against the British Army in the Opium War. With the detailed background information given, it is better for us to understand how rapid
the development was in Dongguan. Furthermore, the visit to Dongguan Longchang
Toy Factory also reminds us the importance of reform and opening up of China. Due to the opening policy implemented, the demand for goods and services produced in
China increased. Hence, there are more industries built in Dongguan for example, the Longchang Toy Factory and division of labour can be practiced successfully.
Moreover, from the Disney toys produced in Longchang Toy Factory, we can also see the practice of international trade through different countries as they have their own comparative advantages.
To conclude, this trip is really meaningful for all of us. Not only terms in economics such as specialization and international trade can be used, other knowledge in subjects like liberal studies can be practiced as well.
