Assessment Committee Meeting Report for October 14, 2009 Attendees: Bob Brownson, Janet Boeckman, Troy Shutler (guest), Anne Vinson, Sheila Campbell, Penny Snyder, Jay Jacquet, Kate Peresie Kate called and conducted the meeting. TOPIC DISCUSSION ACTION STEPS Graduate Survey Results Troy reported that, while the return rate on graduate surveys was 46%, none of the surveys included responses to the CLO self-assessment questions. Troy asked for a sub-group to address the problem(s). The Committee had some suggestions – combine the graduate survey with the petition to graduate; offer a reward such as alumni membership for survey completion; go electronic with Survey Monkey as a possible platform; consider changes to follow-up calendar/timing. Janet and Bob volunteered to work with Troy. They will report back to the Committee at the next meeting. The Committee discussed and changed the goal regarding assessment and the curriculum approval process Contact appropriate persons for more information regarding suggestions, report back.
