Once or twice weekly, students work on our computer-based Reading Smart program. Skills
strengthened in this program include:

What are we learning?
Daily Objective:
Students will create a bank of nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs to use in their writing.
How will we learn it?
Students will work with each other to come up with nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs for
letters a, b, c, and d. They can come up with the words on their own or use their computers.
This will be a work in progress.
How will we tell if we are learning it correctly?
Teacher will monitor and clarify as the students work.
What do I need to be successful?
A copy of the assignment and your computer.
Checks for understanding…

Students need to charge their computers at home.

Students will continue working on a bank of nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs to use
in their writing.

Students will correctly use adjectives that compare.
How will we learn it?
#1
Students will work with each other to come up with nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs
for letters e, f, and g. They can come up with the words on their own or use their
computers. This will be a work in progress.

Teacher will instruct the class, they will work on it together as a class, and then work on
the concept individually.
How will we tell if we are learning it correctly?
Teacher will monitor and clarify as the students work.
What do I need to be successful?
Students need their computers for classwork.

Students will work with the teacher to identify adjectives and adverbs in text, and then
will work on their own.
