Cooperative Learning Groups—Invent a “straw chart” to explain learned
functions of Trigonometry.

Objective: To solidify understanding of measurement, distances, conversions,
and dimensional analysis in application to our immediate community.
Activities: Demonstration/Lecture—using numerous examples of dimensional
analysis and S.I. Unit conversions.
Complete examples as small groups while teacher walks room for reinforcement
and guidance.
Introduce Community Based Lesson instructions and assignment for
homework.
