1. Unit 1 End of 6 Weeks Test (70% of a major grade)
Tuesday 9/30
Objective: I will be able to understand and produce a STAAR style short answer response.
1. STAAR SAR Rubric/ Examples Mini-Lesson
3. Unit 1 Short Answer Response (30% of a major grade)
4. Work on Rough Draft Outline of Short Story when finished
Wednesday/Thursday 10/1-10/2
Objective: I will be able to produce and effectively edit my own original piece of writing.
1. Short Story Editing of the Rough Draft Outline
2. Begin writing FINAL DRAFT in class with correct highlights/labels
Homework: The short story is due at the end of class, but students may take the weekend to finish
the assignment if necessary.
