Objective: To write, focusing on critical analysis of literature including expository, analytical, and
argumentative essays as well as creative writing to sharpen understanding of writers’ accomplishments and
deepen appreciation of literary artistry. [Revised Essay assignment]
Warm-Up: Assign Revised Essay; discuss essential questions regarding these Revised Essays (How can I
improve the quality of my word choice so it adds to the sophistication and fluidity of the paper? How can I
make my paper more insightful so it reveals something new and interesting? How can I add to this essay so
that I can transform an original draft into one that is more holistically complete and more in-depth?)
