Monday Week of: 11/10/14-11/14/14 Teacher: Dr. Robinson Subject: Practicum in Health Science Objective: The learner will review the Nutrition test to understand what questions they answered correctly and incorrectly Activities: Review Nutrition Test Materials: textbook, pencil, test Follow Up/HW: Tuesday Objective: The student will observe and participate in hospital rotations. Activities: Go to assigned departments to observe, participate, and/or perform various tasks. Fill out observation form Materials: pen, paper, clipboard, lab coat, scrubs Follow Up/HW: Objective: The learner will review procedures and experiences from hospital rotations to classmates. The student will identify the cranial nerves and the areas of the body they innervate as well as their functions. Activities: Wednesday: Students will share and discuss their observations and experiences from the hospital to the class. Wed/Thur Thursday: Teacher will pass out handouts on cranial nerves. Students will watch live demonstration of how to perform cranial nerve exam on a patient. Students will label cranial nerve diagram. Materials: penlight, reflex hammer, tuning forks, cotton swab, Snellen eye chart Follow Up/HW: study cranial nerve handouts Friday Objective: The student will continue to identify will identify the cranial nerves and the areas of the body they innervate, as well as the sensations that stimulate them. .
