Daily Objective: I can learn and recall chapter 5A vocabulary for an oral quiz
TEKS/AP/Standards: 01.A.01, 01.A.02, 01.A.03
How will we learn it?
Learning Activities:
Opening:
-Teacher will explain the agenda for the day and the breakdown for the week and
expectations and explains what chapter 5 is about.
-Teacher begins the Power Point of chapter 5A vocabulary. Explain the connotations of
certain words
*students fill out a guided vocabulary sheet
*teacher orally pronounces words, students repeat
*teacher tells students to go to the HUB for extended practice of a flash review for oral quiz

How will we tell if we’re learning it correctly?
Assessment Methods: teacher will go over words with class and check for pronunciation
Checks for Understanding: immediate feedback on wrong pronunciation
What do I need to be successful?
Materials: guided vocabulary sheet/PowerPoint of 5A vocabulary/laptop for HUB activities
What do I need to before next class?
Follow Up/HW: study for 5A oral quiz
What are we learning?
