Assessment Committee Accomplishments for 2009-10 Successfully advocated for embedding CLO assessment in course outcomes via the Curriculum Committee’s Q2S conversion process. Developed and launched a rubric for assessment of critical thinking (Critical Thinking Team). Gathered input from faculty, moved to upgrade Computer Literacy CLO to Information Literacy; sponsored an Information Literacy Team that developed a definition for information literacy. (Rubric to be developed.) Conducted CAAP testing of critical thinking in selected upper level courses in the technology programs. Kept current with Program/Department Level Learning Outcomes Assessment (5 Column Reports) on the Student Success Plan. Developed and launched the new Program Assessment Report incorporating CLO assessment (replacing 5-Column Report). Worked with Career Development to improve graduate survey procedures and incorporated CLO assessment in the graduate survey. Obtained CLO assessment information from last CCSSE report. Sponsored a seminar on teaching/learning with millennial students. Provided feedback to Deans, Department Chairs, and program faculty on 5Column Reports from 2009. Summary report below.
