When the bell rings, you are in your seat, silent, filling in your agenda from
the whiteboard.
Once you complete filling in your agenda, continue following the directions
for the opening activity or DO NOW.
Sharpen pencils before the bell rings or after instructions have been given for
an activity. (never when the teacher is talking!).
Towards the end of class, only pack up when you are told so by ME (I will
usually give you 2 minutes to pack up).
Once you have been told to pack up, you must stay in your seat until you are
dismissed by ME.
You may only use the bathroom at the end of the class period unless there is
an emergency.
The fall semester, you will have ONE late homework pass each 9 week grading
period. The spring semester you will not have any late homework passes.
Work will be turned in to the appropriate basket. You are responsible for
making sure the work gets turned in to the basket. If it isn’t there, you don’t
get credit for it.

Procedure for getting work when you are absent.
While at home sick:
 Check 8th Grade/IPC Homework page or Schoolwires for assignments.
 Check on Schoolwires for all documents given out when you were absent. Print
copies and attempt to do the homework if you can.
When you get back to school:
 Check the Makeup Work crate by subject in the back of the room. There are
weekly folders containing any extra copies of assigned papers. Just know
that all the extras may already be gone.
 Ask me questions only after you have done the first three items above.
BE PROACTIVE – Get copies of homework and try to complete the
assignments you missed before you come back to school. This way you will
never be behind.
