CAPTAIN JAMES E. DALY JR. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER
FEBRUARY 2016
The Principal’s Corner
After a week of being out of school, it was
wonderful to see the children and resume the great
teaching and learning that is occurring here at
Daly. I hope everyone stayed safe and warm
during the blizzard of 2016!
We were very fortunate to be one of twelve schools
in Montgomery County to offer a hot lunch to
families in our community on January 28 and 29,
2016. This free lunch was provided by our food
services department to over 330 people. Students
were also able to select a free book to enjoy during
the days they were out of school. We are thankful
and appreciative to MCPS for selecting Daly as a
lunch site for our families.
National School Counseling Week is the week of
February 1-5. Please take a moment to thank Mrs.
Borchardt, our school counselor, for all the
wonderful work she is doing with our children.
