ESW Seminar Series
CHEER
Monday 10th October, 5pm
Room 104, Fulton
Speaker
Professor Allyson Holbrook, University of Newcastle, Australia
presents:
‘Adaptive Knowledge Production: The knowledge behind
doctoral students’ understandings and achievement of
new knowledge production’
____________________________________
This seminar draws together the findings of three large
Australian Research Council-funded projects dedicated to
understanding the connection between what we look for in
doctoral outcomes and how students learn to develop as
knowledge producers.
From the findings a framework has been developed
called Adaptive Knowledge Production (AKP) to help
explain the individual conditions for knowledge production
and the capacity for fundamental transformations of
knowledge within the context of unbounded uncertainty.
* Tea and coffee served from 5pm
