Brief Course Description
This course provides students with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform smog check inspections.
Students who successfully complete this course will have met step two of the Bureau of Automotive Repair's
training requirements to qualify to take the smog check inspector state licensing examination if they have met the
recommended course preparation.

% Shop, personal, vehicle, and equipment safety practices. Equipment use and calibration.

% Smog check laws, regulations, and procedures for administration of program and consumer
authorization. Standards of practice expected of inspectors.

equipment.
