COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is for students who have completed ART 132 and ART 133 or the equivalent. Students will expand upon their knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, MetaCreations, Painter and/or other state-of-the-art digital imagemaking applications. Students will further their study of photographic image making, scanning, digital painting and image manipulation using current digital art software. Students will use software and technology with less effort, increased speed and with better control. Students will continue to sharpen their focus on image creation, not on technology, using the computer as a tool to help shape their vision.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the completion of the course the student will be able to:
1. Use computers, scanners, CD burners, digital tablets and other technology as tools to create art.
2. Operate digital enhancing/editing software with increased proficiency to produce high quality digital art.
3. Use large format color printers to produce artwork on a variety of media.
4. Create a portfolio of visual projects.

20 % Expanded techniques and operational tips of using technology as art tools
50 % Complex digital art techniques. Further exploration of editing software as an intuitive art creation tool.
20 % Archiving to storage media, printing to large format printers.
