Out of Class Reading and Listening Assignments
Read and listen to the out of class assignments and be able to answer questions about
the content. You do not need to know details, but you should understand the main ideas
in each article and be able to express them in your own words.

You will be given the background of a social situation to which you must respond. Be
able to write a response using the language tools that we have worked with in class.
Example: You and Joe are friends. You are talking when he tells you that he is having
trouble getting a job. Give him some advice using the language tools for giving advice.
