MEETING GROUND RULES
• Speak one at a time
• Listen to one another; limit speaking time to allow others to
share; respectfully disagree, when needed
• Refrain from speaking about a particular teacher or other
children
• Refrain from speaking about issues that affect only to your
child (those that should be addressed individually)
• Establish a community of trust and respect by maintaining
confidentiality with information shared in this meeting

GETTING TO KNOW YOU
WHAT’S THIS?
Objective: For people to get to know one another and give
input to solving a problem or dilemma
Group Size: 4-5
Materials: Ziplock
baggie with object,
paper, pencil
Directions: 1) Introduce
yourselves and tell a little
bit about your child. 2)
Review your object and
discuss all its possible
uses/functions. 3) Record
responses. Everyone must
respond at least once! 4)
Have fun and prepare to
share with the large group
in 5-7 minutes.
