Alliance HealthCare Services, a leader in the Healthcare services space, is actively
seeking a Mental Health Licensed Therapist to fulfill a full-time contract to hire
opportunity at one of our healthcare partners serving the Reno, NV community.
Reporting directly to the Regional Director, the therapist is responsible for providing
clinical interventions with individuals, groups, and/or families. These interventions may
be completed in foster homes, family homes, in other community settings/agencies, or
in an office environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS











Provide clinical interventions to clients in foster care or in the community.
Facilitate and maintain effective written and verbal communication with the
referring case manager.
Caseload will be assigned by the Regional Director.
Therapists are expected to complete progress notes for each session.
Initiate contact with client to commence engagement, assessment, goal setting
and provision of services.
Creates and maintains client files (this can vary with contract therapists, and they
will be given direction regarding this by the Clinical Supervisor); directly
responsible for PARS, monitoring paperwork and ensuring report requirements
are consistently met. Responsible for writing service plans, quarterly reports, and
discharge summaries.
Communicate verbally and in written form all information regarding potential risk
to clients to the case manager, social worker/legal guardian, parole officer.
Participate in monthly clinical staffing with the Regional, Clinical, and Medical
Director.
Participate in team meetings as needed to ensure quality care.
Participates in a quality assurance program for the purpose of evaluating
services and outcomes.
Therapist will learn to comprehend and diagnose with the DSM V.
The qualified candidate will possess the following combination of skills, knowledge and
experience:






Therapists must be licensed with an MFT or CPC (Clinical Professional
Counselor) in the State of Nevada.
A valid Nevada driver’s license and access to personal automobile with required
insurance coverage is required.
Must be able to complete a criminal justice and a child abuse registry check as
required by state rules.
Must work independently.
Demonstrate the ability to prioritize, sort and organize; perform multiple tasks
simultaneously.
Demonstrate strong written, verbal and analytical skills.
