Summary Statement: State the major function(s) of the position and its role in the university. The Senior Coordinator, Regional Admissions and Recruitment, is located in the Division of Enrollment Services under Student Services at the University of Nevada, Reno but is physically located in San Francisco, California. The major responsibility of this position is to actively recruit admissible students from Northern California with special emphasis of ethnically diverse students and students with special talents. This position reports to the Director of Admissions in Reno. 2. List the major responsibilities, including percentage of time devoted to each. Provide enough detail to enable a person outside the department to understand the job (percentage first with heading and then bulleted information). 75% - Student Recruitment Actively recruit eligible students in all area schools, community colleges sites and surrounding rural areas for recruitment presentations Serve as a resource to counselors and teachers concerning admissions and special programs Counsel prospective students, parents and counselors regarding admissions requirements, course placement, major selection and financial aid and scholarships Develop and execute effective telephone counseling campaigns throughout the recruitment cycle Utilize latest technology and data collection to make strategic and intellectual decisions in recruitment markets Provide information regarding current and future academic majors and programs 25% - Special Events Coordination Assist with coordination of the University special events Provide update on trends in the Bay Area/Northern California that affect recruitment Represent University at college fairs/programs Develop programs for counselors, teachers, parents and students that market the University of Nevada 3.
