Summary Statement: State the major function(s) of the position and its role in the university. The Coordinator, Family and Community Partnerships, guides the planning, implementation and evaluation of the comprehensive infant/toddler early care and education service provided at Early Head Start (EHS) sites. The Coordinator assures compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Federal rules, and all applicable state and local regulations. The Coordinator provides leadership, direction, and oversight for the Family & Community Partnerships components. The Coordinator reports to the Director, Child and Family Research Center (CFRC). 2. Level of Freedom: The Coordinator represents the University of Nevada Early Head Start and CFRC on issues related to infant and toddler early care and education. The position is very visible to the public through interaction with students, faculty, staff and community members. The individual works closely with the Director on decisions associated with the position, but must work independently and with initiative in the job areas. The position takes action in these areas with immediate reporting to the Director. Impact: The work of the Coordinator impacts the quality of infant and toddler care offered to the families enrolled in UNR-EHS and the resultant impact on the children’s education and well-being. Failure to perform could impact the safety and development of program participants and jeopardize future funding. 4.
