Budgets - Year End
Keep your eyes on your budgets. If you have any issues, let Ray know so he can be aware of them.
Career Ladder Adjustments:
Performance Plan needs to be put in place in advance of their career movement. (Samples can be
emailed out if needed) The performance plan needs a second level approver, which is Ray Walker.
When you go to do the ePAF, you need to modify the 2nd level approver to be Val Peterson.
Updates:
Legislative Update- Bill passed a base budget for the state. Revenue projections are not due until
next week. With that budget, they cut across the board 7%, there is discussion that in the end
Public Ed will probably be held harmless, and Higher Ed will possibly cut some, but governor’s
budget will backfill all the cuts from the rainy day fund.
Worst news is UEN now faces a 10% cut. Impact would be a cut of 19 people and that is not
possible with the staff they have now or a 20% cut in their budget.
Evaluations - All exempt employees should be done. Nonexempt are due at the end of February.
Conflict of Interest forms are to be signed each year by ALL employees.
UVLink Refresh Update - Final stages of UVLink facelift. Ann's group is doing a look and feel
work. Daniel is doing a true test environment. Daniel is also doing a unique menu layout that
really cleans things up. Roll out will be President's Day weekend.
The Great Migration Update:
Lots of progress, RFP will go out within next day or two. Quotes are ready to purchase the servers
that are required. We will start implementing all the backend technology and start testing in
March/April (Alpha beta testing). Early May IT will move over as a bigger test. The next week the
President’s office will move over. A website and emails will be developed to help answer
questions within day or so.
Operators Update:
We have moved over to the automated operator. If you find a name not in the list, please pass it
on to Telephone Services. The operators have been moved over to the call center to be trained
over there to use the operator consol.
BA014 Update:
Currently being remodeled, the ceiling grid is in, lights will be in soon, and painters are painting
today. Room will have 21 computers and the tables are ordered. The room will be able to handle
a few more than the 21 station with empty stations for laptops. We would really like to keep that
room busy. The goal is to have the room available March 1st.
